Inspired by the Brant Community Healthcare System video “I Wanna Wash My Hands,” the Canadian Patient Safety Institute launched the inaugural Canadian Hand Hygiene Video Competition during STOP! Clean Your Hands Day on May 5, 2011. We’ve invited Healthcare organizations from across Canada to submit creative videos made in house that promote and demonstrate effective hand hygiene.
Judged by CPSI’s Hand Hygiene Faculty, the winner will be announced on Nov. 4 as part of Canada’s Virtual Forum on Patient Safety and Quality Improvement.
We’re also inviting members of the public to submit their vote for a secondary prize. Each of the videos we’ve received are posted on Facebook -- the video with the most “likes” by the end of Canada’s Virtual Forum will be declared the winner.
We encourage you to share with your friends, family and colleagues and ask them to check out the creative videos healthcare organizations across Canada have come up with to promote effective hand hygiene.
